Windsor Youth Sports and Recreation Parent Code of Conduct

We, the Windsor Youth Sports and Recreation have implemented the following Parent Code of Conduct for the important message it holds about proper role of parents in supporting their child in sports.  Parents should read, understand and sign this form prior to their children participating in our league.

- I will be a positive role model and encourage sportsmanship by showing respect and courtesy and by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, officials and spectators at every game, practice or any other related event.
- I will remember that children participate to have fun and that the game is for youth, not adults.
- I will not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, player or parent such as booing, taunting, refusing to shake hands or using profane language or gestures.
- I will ensure my child treats other players, coaches, officials and spectators with respect regardless of race, creed, color, gender or ability.
- I will emphasize practices and skill development and how they benefit my child by ensuring he/she arrives and is retrieved in a timely fashion at all scheduled practices and games.
- I will inform the coach and league of any physical disability or ailment that may affect the safety of my child and/or the safety of others.
- I will teach my child to play by the rules and to resolve conflict in a sportsmanlike manner.
- I will remember that the coaches are volunteers and give them the respect they deserve because without them we would not have a youth program
- I will refrain from coaching my child and other players during games and practices unless I am one of the official coaches of the team.
- If I have a conflict/problem with anyone or any aspect of the game, I will not confront coaches at the game field.  I will take 24 hours to think about it and then will take time to speak with coaches at an appropriate time and place.
- I hereby agree that if I fail to conform my conduct to the foregoing while attending, coaching, officiating or participating in youth sports events, I may be subject to disciplinary action, including but not limited to the following in any order or combination:
Verbal warning issued by the WYSR organization.
Written warning issued by the WYSR organization.
Suspension or immediate ejection from a youth sports event issued by the WYSR organization.
Suspension from multiple youth sports events issued by the WYSR organization.
Season suspension or multiple season suspension issued by the WYSR organization.

I agree to help make youth sports fun and help teach our players good sportsmanship. I understand and will abide by the above standards. By registering your player, you agree that you have read and understand the policies set forth by WYSR .
